LIML: A Typical Weekday! :)

*Welcome to my blog in case you're stopping by from the ABFOL - One Project at a Time: 12/24/13! Hope you like my post! Feel free to leave a comment! I love it when people do! :D
Also, while I don't celebrate Christmas, Merry Christmas to those who do! :)*

For this "Look into my Life" (LIML) post, I decided to generalize it & make it a typical weekday!

Keep in mind, it's busy, tiring & boring but I thought it would be nice to share so you can see how I manage my time! (Also it might clear up why I don't post a frequently as I would love to!)

6:30 AM - Rise & shine! It's going to be a great day! (Not really, I have to go to school, which is not that interesting as it used to be)

6:30 AM - 7:00 AM - Get ready for school!

7:00 AM - Leave for school! Yay! (or not. :P)

8:30 AM - Reach school! (Unfortunately, since there are a fewer number of buses available, it takes 90 minutes to reach school instead of 15)

8.30 AM - 5:30 PM - SCHOOL! 9 hours of listening to teachers & studying. I have 50 minute classes (Physics, Math, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology), 2 10-minute breaks & a 30-minute one for lunch!

5:30 PM - School's out for the day! Yippee!

7:00 PM - Reach home!

7:00 PM - 7:30 PM - Have a little snack & watch TV!

7:30 PM - 8:00 PM - Practice violin or study if I have too much to do!

8:00 PM - 8:30 PM - Study!

8:30 PM - 9:00 PM - Have dinner & use the laptop! (I am permitted to use the laptop for only these 30 minutes on weekdays, hence it becomes hard to post often)

9:00 PM - 10:00 PM - I used to watch MasterChef Australia but now I just get back to studying!

10:00 PM - 11:00 PM - Study!

11:00 PM - 11:30 PM - Pack my bag for school, finish any remaining work that I have to do,
bedtime routine, etc)

11:30 PM - Time to go to sleep! :)

That's pretty much my entire day! What's with all the studying, you may ask? Well, I have 3 hour exams - Physics, Chemistry & Biology every Saturday for which I have to study 6-8 chapters!
This is the best that I can do when it comes to managing my time! There are a lot of things that I would like to include into my day-to-day life like exercising, for one!

How do you manage a typical day in your life? I would LOVE to know! Leave a comment below!

What's in my school pencil case? (+essentials!) :)

The test is about to start. What are you doing? Rummaging through your school bag to find a single pencil or pen and when you can't your bag just seems like a bottomless pit, right? You then decide to ask everyone around you if you could borrow one and finally that works - you take the test. When you reach home, you realize that your one pen & blunt pencil were shoved in random pockets that you didn't even know existed in your backpack.

Has this ever happened to you before? Even though the situation may have not been this dramatic, I'm pretty sure that there's been at least one time where we all have had no stationary with us at all!

Your #1 Solution: Carry a pencil case!

A pencil case keeps your school supplies organized and easy to access! They're super easy to use, so just use it! It really saves you from all the clutter!
(I wouldn't recommend using the pen/pencil pockets in backpacks because they can fall out from there too!)

What's in my pencil case?
I've used different types of pencil cases before -  now I have a fairly small sized one! (which cost $1!)

1. Pens - 2 blue and 1 black (ballpoint). I use blue for exams and writing most of my notes whereas I use black for headings/sub-headings! (more on note taking here!)

2. A Pencil (+lead) - 2 (both by BIC). I use one on a regular basis & the other for exams (they are HB & #2, so they work for tests too!)

3. A ruler - mine opens up & functions as a longer one too! Which is great because I've broken about 6 long rulers or so by just keeping them in my bag - the weight of the books is too much!

4. An eraser - Mistakes, be gone!

5. A stapler - For putting together test papers & loose leaf ones it becomes really handy! I've even seen staplers smaller than the one I've shown here!

*In a separate ziploc bag, I store scissors, glue, shake-and-squeeze white out & a highlighter! I decided to store them separately because I don't reach for them a lot! (However, now I do use the highlighter a lot more) In a separate pocket in my bag I have a post-it pad! I actually don't reach for them a lot at school but I do a TON at home!

That's all! Thanks a TON for reading this post! Hope it was helpful!

Reorganizing: Memorabilia! :)

*Welcome to my blog if you're visiting from the WE Heart Organizing! link party! Thanks for stopping by! Hope you like my blog! Yes, I am a student but in case you were wondering of what my intention a starting a blog is & a little bit about me, click here!* :)

Hi! [Long time no post? Sorry about that! I've been super busy with school - I have 8 chapters to study in 1 week for an exam & I've been a little under the weather too!)]

Recently I reorganized one of my drawers - the one in which I keep memorabilia! You know how much it costed me? Nothing! Nothing at all! It also took me only about 15 minutes!
You can still be organized without spending anything at all - in fact, I think that's one of the best things about organizing!

Here's where the drawer is:

The top one! It is small but there is a very small number of photos in this drawer, instead I keep certain items like cards, books, etc (you'll see!) I would probably need at least 20 drawers if I wanted to store photos in them!

The drawer: Before

Here it is - A big mess! Card on top of card, random notebooks shoved in between, little trinkets here & there, this is definitely NOT organized!

The Re-organizing process: (I decided to break it down into steps!)

Step 1: I took everything out of the drawer and cleaned the drawer a bit.

Step 2: I sorted everything into piles! One each for - cards, notebooks, pics & random stuff!

Step 3: I placed the things in different spots, one by one as shown below:

Pic #1 - Notebooks, Pic #2 - cards & pics, Pic #3 - Other cards (smaller ones), other trinkets!

That's it! Like I said, it took me only a matter of 15 minutes & didn't cost anything at all!

The drawer: After!

Hope you liked how it turned out! Thanks a TON for reading this post! I hoped it inspired you somehow! Feel free to leave a comment below! Also, please go ahead & subscribe/follow so you know when I post next! Thanks!
