How I Organize: School Stuff! :)

*Welcome to my blog! I've linked up this post to the Organize It! Link Party! Thanks for stopping by & taking the time to read my blog! It means a lot!* :)

I already have a How to Organize series, where I tell you different ways to organize certain spaces/items. This is a new series where I will show you how I organize myself (hence the "I", of course)!

Generally, I have school for 9 hours a day, 6 days a week. Do the math - 54 hours of school every week which includes a 3 hour exam too! I'm pretty sure you can understand why organizing myself for school is really important because if I'm not, then I would probably be a mess - a huge mess!

The method I use to organize myself: An Expanding file folder!

An expanding file folder that has 5 pockets on one side & a handy dandy notebook (get it? - hint: Kids TV show) on the other!

The outside of the file!

Its described as a "Citysmart Conference Folder" though it works just fine for school too!

How I organize:

First off, my classes are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math & English. I've assigned a pocket for each subject except English because I don't have papers for that class! I store question papers in the remaining pocket because like I mentioned before, I have tests weekly, which means I have question papers to store which I can look through for cumulative exams!
As for the notebook, I just write down syllabus for that week's test, extra points, etc. It's also perforated, so I can tear pages out of it too in case I need to!

$8 - Yes, a little expensive for a file folder but it's great quality & I know I'll use it for a long time!

What I love:
The decent size of the pockets because sometimes pockets can be small and most papers have to be folded in order for them to fit!
The notepad - it's a nice addition to the file & is great for jotting down points!

That's all for this post! I hope you liked my first "How I Organize" post & the method I used!

Thanks a TON for reading! Feel free to leave a comment below on your thoughts about this post & any other "How I Organize" posts you would like to see! Please go ahead & subscribe/follow my blog so you know when I post next! Thanks!

2nd Term Goals! :)

*Welcome to my blog if you're visiting from A Bowl Full of Lemons: One Project at a Time! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my post!*

Long time no post, right? Sorry about that! In my previous post, I did mention that I had midterms, so I spent most of my time studying. After that, I got a week off during which I had to go somewhere with my family & couldn't post!

Today (Oct 20) is the last day of my 1st term vacation & looking back on the previous term, I realized that there are quite a few things that I need to change for the upcoming one. So, I decided to make a list of goals!

1. Managing time wisely:
This was something that I used to be good at - managing multiple activities and always being on top of my work was something that I was proud of. However, the past term, the work took over me and that needs to be changed.

2. Exercising regularly:
"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." - This is exactly what's happening & it definitely needs to change!

3. Practicing violin regularly:
This is something that I have been doing but I need to practice even more! After all, practice makes perfect!

4. Study for the SAT:
Even though I live in India, I want to try applying for colleges in the USA which means I need to take the SAT. It's something I haven't started studying for and I need to now! If you have any tips, leave them in a comment below!

5. Writing in my planner - DAILY:
I write in my planner on a regular basis but not regularly. I keep track of tests & due dates mentally, but I think jotting them down is a lot better!

6. Re-organizing my life:
This is probably the biggest goal that I have and if I accomplish all the above (especially #1), this will be off the list too. Being organized is what gets makes me a good student! The past term, the workload has been a little too much for me to handle but I'm ready to overcome it the next one!

7. Relaxing, but not for too long:
Due to school & schoolwork, I don't have a lot of free time but when I do I've wasted most of it instead of utilizing it wisely - I need to relax of course but not for too long!

8. Post more frequently:
Last, but not least, a blog-related goal! I love blogging & I really enjoy it! Helping even a single person organize their life a little makes me feel really happy! However, school really does eat up my time & this term, I'm not going to let it to! I can't make any promises but I will do my best to post at least once a week! If you have any requests, tell me so in a comment! I will do my best to do them!

Those are my 8 goals for the second term! I decided to share them with you, I think it'll keep me motivate me a little more to achieve them! I will most probably be doing update posts related to these goals but we'll see how things turn out! Thanks a TON for reading this post! :)

Do you have any goals that you've set for yourself? If you don't mind, feel free to share in a comment below! I would love to know! If you have a series name that I could use for GOAL-related topics, you can go ahead and suggest those too! Please go ahead and subscribe/follow so you know when I post next! Thanks!
